Yoga in the Sky: A new thing that you can done in Your Flight

The new in-flight well-being programme is designed to help passengers ease into their journeys by performing yoga and meditation exercises.

You may have heard of hot yoga, beer yoga, and several other bizarre yoga classes, but have you heard of the latest trend all of us can actually appreciate – yoga in the sky? That’s right, you can now say goodbye to boring long flights and jetlag, thanks to Cathay Pacific’s new ‘Travel Well with Yoga’ programme in partnership with Pure Yoga.

Launching this month in tandem with the airline’s “Live Well Travelled” campaign, the new in-flight well-being programme is designed to help passengers ease into their journeys by performing yoga and meditation exercises.

According to Pure Yoga founding teacher Patrick Creelman and senior instructor & co-founder Almen Won, the exercises are aimed at improving circulation, enhancing joint movement and relaxing the mind for a well-rested journey.

“We all know that sitting still for a long period of time can be uncomfortable. The need to get up, move and get your blood pumping is important during a flight,” Cathay Pacific Entertainment, Platforms and Connectivity Manager Simon Cuthbert says.

“Yoga is an innovative way to do this. There are a series of exercises that can easily be done from an economy class seat whilst other moves are suitable for after the flight in your hotel.”
